25 kilometers (15.53 miles) from Ciudad Hidalgo

Los Azufres is formed by springs of thermal, hypothermal and mesothermal water with healing properties with a temperature that goes from 21° to 82° Centigrade (69.8°F - 179.6°F) and its therapeutic mud surrounded by pines and oyamel forests. There is also a tourist camp called "Laguna Larga" with service of cabins, swimming pools, kiddie pools, camping area, children games, cross bike track and parking area. On the other side of the road there is the San Alejo spring, with a temperature above the 50°C (122°F) and it also has swimming pools. By the road to Los Azufres, 5 kilometers (3.11 miles) away, there is a typical town of Michoacan called San Pedro Juacaro, which is famous for its wood industry and the Patron Saint festivity (June 18).
