16 kilometers from Zamora

This city is surrounded by multiple springs such as "Camecuaro", "Cupatzio", "Jungaran", and "El Taray". Tangancicuaro has a beautiful main garden where the parish of the Virgin of the Assumption is located. One of the most beautiful natural places of Michoacan is found in this municipal: the National Park of Lake Camecuaro, which is a beautiful and enchanting place that constitutes a peaceful retreat for whoever visits it. The spring is surrounded by a great variety of willows and sabines, aspect that highlights the beauty of the place.

Festivities:
August 15th: Feast of the Virgin of the Assumption

We recommend visiting:

  • The water springs and to buy bread of Tangancicuaro from Don
  • Francisco Fabian
  • The "carnitas Acevedo" (fried pork meat) and the "barbacoa del portal" ( a kind of Mexican barbecue)
