At 38 kilometers from Uruapan

It is the center of the Meseta Purepecha.
The municipal of Paracho is integrated by eight painteresque communities which are full of traditions and with great natural and architectonical beauties. Visiting Ahiuran, Arato, Cherantzicurin, Quinceo, Urapicho, Nurio, Aranza, and Pomacuaran is transporting to another period.

The climate is moderate/cold with rain almost the whole year
Handcrafts:
Guitars, violins, violoncellos, contrabass and mandolins, other wooden crafts like furniture, toys and masks are also made.

Atole de grano, corundas, churipos, egg bread, and toqueras of blue corn
