An abundant strip of springs spreads in the north of Michoacan, beginning from the oriental limit of the state up to the extreme northwest of the "Cienega De Chapala" and is known as the Health Route. It is composed of more than 400 springs.
The chemical composition of its waters and the fact that they are found in propitious climate conditions, make them specially unmatched. The thermal-mineral springs of the state are located in ecological spaces that give life to wonderful bathing resorts and aquatic parks that are enclosed among perfumed woods and beautiful mountains, where the visitor will find health, rest, and entertainment with the pleasure of sun and the flow of crystal waters, as well as finding various services and a warm hospitality. There are more than a hundred bathing resorts.

"Cointzio"
Various bathing resorts with diverse tourist services are located 10 kilometers from Morelia. In this area, on the former Morelia-Patzcuaro highway, we find Cointzio dam, where you can practice sailing, jet-ski, and motonautics.

"Huandacareo"
On the Morelia-Cuitzeo-Huandacareo highway, you can find the archaeological zone of "Huandacareo", whose name comes from the purepecha language "uandakua", which means place of judgments, place of speakers or tribune. "Huandacareo" is famous for its hot springs bathing resorts and its "carnitas" (fried pork meat).

"Angamacutiro"
Municipal and capital that is located 133 kilometers from Morelia. Among its important architecture we find the religious monuments of St. Francis parish and the Sanctuary of Guadalupe. In its outskirts you can enjoy bathing resorts and natural sites such as "El Sabino" (the Sabine), a 4 meter high and 12 meter wide waterfall, the ecological park "La Chorrera", a natural location with a river that forms the outlet of the Melchor Ocampo dam; there are many bathing resorts in the outskirts of the dam.

"Zinapecuaro"
A typical town, where a 16th century Franciscan Ex-convent is found, located 49 kilometers from Morelia on the Morelia-Acambaro highway. A community worth visiting because of its multiple hot springs which feed a bathing resort that has hotel service and an aquatic park.

"Araro"
A typical town located 10 kilometers north of Zinapecuaro, that is rich in hot springs which can be enjoyed in the bathing resorts of the region. It is also famous because of its religious feasts.
